Employee Happenings Former RB Indiana Team Member Norma Butler HonoredGeorgia's Jerry Lady "Boss of the Year" ![]() ![]() ![]() For the first few months (that's right, MONTHS) of Darin's employment with Richmond Baking, he walked to work each night for his job in the Packaging Department. This wasn't just a short trip around the corner, either. You see, Darin's home is in Douglas, Georgia, which caused him to walk 30 miles to work each way! "Darin's spirit and dedication to our company is truly an inspiration. He lives our Vision and Mission each day with his commitment to our customers, our coworkers and our community," company President Bill Quigg said.
During these long walks, Darin says he relied solely on the Lord to get him through each day, and on "God's Angels" that would pick him up occasionally and carry him a few miles closer to his destination. Always looking at the bright side of life, Darin shared, "Well, it helped me lose a little weight, too." Thanks, Darin for your inspiration!
Post Script: With Darin's earnings at the company, he was able to purchase a car which he proudly calls the "Faith Mobile"!
